Typically, executives, aspiring executives, and senior-level professionals. This usually means C-level executives (CEO, CMO, CFO, etc.), SVP's, VP's, or directors. Though I have worked with clients in nearly every industry, I specialize in association executives (executive director, executive vice president, etc.).

How does career coaching work?

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." Each session involves a process designed to move each client into action while providing them with the career management tools they need to meet their goals. Sessions are 60 minutes and are typically provided on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

How does the resume process work?

Each client sends me their existing resume, along with 1-3 job ads (to target the resume and incorporate keywords, which increase the likelihood of pickup by automatic applicant tracking systems).

I then send the client a personal branding form, which helps me further distinguish them from the competition.

The client and I have a 45-60 minute telephone conversation to gather information and clarify career brand (serves as bonus interview prep!)

I write the first draft of the resume and send to client for review.

I make any necessary revisions and send back to client for final approval.

I provide the final version in the most commonly requested formats – Microsoft Word, PDF, and plain-text.

What is my time commitment?

For resumes: typically one to two hours (for the phone interview and revision process).

For coaching: 60 minutes per session, plus preparation in-between (time varies depending on weekly goals).

Why is the price so high?

Writing career marketing documents that stand out is a time- and labor-intensive process that incorporates several skills (sales, grammar, and proofreading, to name just a few). With hundreds of people often applying to each open position, I want my clients to be seen as the best of the best. To ensure that they are among this elite group, I limit the number of people I work with each month to provide them with the personalized attention and quality they deserve.

Plus, as far as the resume is concerned, you'll receive far more than a new document. Along with personal brand development and "bonus" interview preparation, the increased confidence that comes from the process is often just as valuable as the resume itself.

Career coaching is similar. As with resume writing, coaching is ever-evolving, and I stay on the cutting-edge of career trends to ensure my clients are among the exclusive candidates in their fields. Intensive training is required of coaches recognized by the International Coach Federation (ICF). In addition, there is a great deal of preparation that goes into ensuring each session is as productive as possible.

Each session is designed to be as efficient as possible, and comes packed with the information and tools you need to resolve your career concerns. Depending on your needs and goals, it's possible you may require only a small number of coaching sessions.

How long does it take to write the resume?

Typically 10 days. Rush services may be available at an additional rate, depending on the availability.
